Jestic Foodservice Equipment has added the new ‘Micro’ range of Ugolini ice cream and beverage machines to its offering.
The equipment, which Jestic is the exclusive distributor of in the UK, can produce chilled and frozen beverages including slush, granitas and cream-based coffees and drinks. It is the smallest model in the Ugolini portfolio and has been developed for situations where operators need to save space.
Its dimensions are 180 x 470 x 510mm and it weighs just 19kg, while a standard single phase plug connection means it is suited for position on a counter or bar surface ready for use.
Despite its petite size, the micro features a 3-litre bowl which has been specially designed for the consistent preparation of cold cream-based beverages, while also proving the optimum size for small production quantities in order to avoid waste.
A simple and intuitive electronic control ensures optimum consistency, even for those with limited training. A single pull down lever dispenses the beverage in a quick yet controlled manner, ideal for portion control and to handle demand during busy periods.
Michael Eyre, product director at Jestic, said: “Frozen shakes and coffee based beverages are nothing new to the UK, however the market does tend to be dominated by the high street coffee chains. While using blended ice is ideal for speed and profit margin, using frozen cream to provide a more indulgent, rich flavoured drink is something that has been growing on the continent for a number of years.
“The Ugolini Micro has been developed primarily for this purpose and thanks to its unique design and elements taken from the larger models in the company’s portfolio, is able to produce a range of beverages to an exceptional standard, while retaining a minimal footprint.”
