Jestic Foodservice Solutions has doubled its backing for Catering Insight and Foodservice Equipment Journal’s Kitchen & Equipment Awards Week.

After the supplier signed up to support the Operator of the Year – Equipment Innovation category, it has now added a sponsorship of the Distributor of the Year – Business Development accolade. This is an initiative that Jestic has backed at the Catering Insight Awards since the category’s inception.

All of the digital event’s winners will be announced during the week commencing 30 November in YouTube presentations premiering on both publications’ YouTube channels.

Steve Morris, sales director at Jestic Foodservice Solutions commented: “We are delighted to once again be sponsoring the Distributor of the Year – Business Development category, particularly as it recognises those businesses who have worked tirelessly to move their business forward over the past 12 months, whether through outstanding results, investment or by implementing new policies that have achieved positive results.

“We work closely with dealers and distributors across the industry and as such, we’ve seen some exceptional success stories, which we believe this particular award will celebrate. Best of luck to all the nominated distributors.”

Morris once again lauded the aim of the Kitchen & Equipment Awards, saying: “2020 has been a year that no one in our industry will forget, despite the fact they may want to! The coronavirus epidemic has had an unprecedented effect, impacting the lives and businesses of manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and operators alike.

“It is only if the catering equipment supply chain continues to work together that we will be able to adapt to the ‘new normal’ and look ahead to what will hopefully be safer, more prosperous times ahead. It is therefore crucial that we look to honour the collective efforts of our peers across the industry through this years’ Kitchen & Equipment Awards.”

He reinforced: “Distributors have worked tirelessly to support front line operators and so it is great that these efforts will be acknowledged in the Kitchen & Equipment Awards and through the Distributor of the Year – Business Development award, which we are very pleased to once again be sponsoring.”
