Blender manufacturer Vitamix has re-engineered the Vita-Prep 3 model’s three horsepower motor to be quieter during operation.
The brand, supplied to the UK via Jestic Foodservice Equipment, believes the update has still maintained the blender’s power and performance.
The newly designed motor is also said to feature improved thermal capabilities which, together with an advanced cooling fan, should offer the power and dependability required in the most demanding commercial kitchens.
Steve Morris, sales director at Jestic Foodservice Equipment, said: “The new quieter motor means the Vitamix Vita-Prep 3 can help reduce noise in busy kitchens, yet still offer chefs the unrivalled high-performance and durability to efficiently blend even the toughest whole-food ingredients.
“Helping to create everything from dry rubs and spice mixes through to delicious marinades, purées, sauces, soups, stocks, desserts and drinks, the best blender just got better.”
Vita-Prep 3 is claimed to be built for durability and versatility and features variable speed control and a range of patented, high-impact containers made from BPA-free Tritan copolyester.
The manually-operated dial should provide precise speed control to regulate the texture of ingredients. At each variable speed setting, the motor maintains a constant blade speed, even when blending heavy loads.
The 64-oz. container comes with a removable lid plug, meaning ingredients can easily be added during a blend. A tamper tool allows users to blend thick and frozen mixtures without stopping the machine. The container is designed to prevent it from coming into contact with the blades, while the drive socket is inter-changeable.
The Vita-Prep 3 is backed by a 3-year warranty on motor base parts and a 1-year warranty on container and blade assembly.
