Jestic acquires another servicing firm

Jestic Foodservice Equipment, supplier of equipment brands such as Josper, Wood Stone, Henny Penny and Vitamix, has announced the purchase of Hugall Services, its second major acquisition in the space of 14 months.

Hugall Services has been installing and servicing specialist foodservice equipment for over a quarter of a century using a nationwide team of local engineers from its base in south London.

The acquisition is seen as a further strengthening of Jestic’s service and parts division following the recent procurement of ServEquip.

Steve Loughton, MD of Jestic, commented: “No longer is it possible for a company to simply sell equipment, customers need reassurance that, should the inevitable happen, there is a back-up support system in place to ensure any down time is minimal.

“With the recent purchase of ServEquip and now Hugall Services, Jestic is perfectly placed to sell, service and support our products throughout the UK. By merging the expertise of the ServEquip staff in service and parts, with the logistics and customer service skills of the in-house Jestic team, and the joint network engineers, we can now offer clients a seamless solution throughout the order process and beyond.”

Hugall Services already provides a support service for several flagship operators and is the authorised service and parts agents for leading brands in the foodservice equipment market.

Loughton added: “This is a highly strategic acquisition for Jestic which increases our network of installers and service engineers providing nationwide service support on a reactive and planned maintenance basis.”
