ISO joy for Grimsby dealer Sylvester Keal

Grimsby kitchen house Sylvester Keal has passed its seventh successful audit since achieving the ISO 9001 certification six years ago.

The ISO 9001 standard is considered the international benchmark for quality within an organisation, with just 5% of UK businesses gaining the accreditation.

Chris Tuffrey, the ISO 9001 assessor who undertook Sylvester Keal’s audit for QMS International, said: “Sylvester Keal Limited has gone above and beyond the requirements of the standard. They have continued to monitor and improve their customer feedback systems, delivering an exceptional service, which is clearly reflected by the success of their business.”

ISO 9001 certification is awarded to organisations which meet the standard using a systematic approach to managing and improving their processes and procedures.

Each year an external audit is carried out by a third party to ensure these systems are maintained and any non-conformances are noted for correction.

Sylvester Keal says that by maintaining the ISO 9001 certification it is able to demonstrate to customers and suppliers that quality assurance is of “paramount importance” to the business.

The Sylvester Keal Group has more than 25 years experience in the catering business and provides a wide range of services including commercial kitchen equipment, commercial kitchen installations, servicing, maintenance and repairs.
