ISO 14001 coup for Comenda


Washing solutions provider Comenda has confirmed that it recently gained a new ISO certification.

The company is now ISO: 14001 2004 certified, reaffirming its ability to implement, maintain and improve environmental management systems to industry standards.

ISO 14001 was first published in 1996 and specifies the actual requirements for an environmental management system. It applies to all environmental aspects that an organisation has control over and which it can be expected to have an influence.

Comenda, which specialises in washing solutions that comply with the severe hygiene standards required in public catering, says the ISO 14001 certification is regarded by many as the cornerstone of the ISO 14000 series.
