UK catering thermometer manufacturer TM Electronics has introduced a new barcode scanning logging thermometer.
The MM7100 features accurate temperature measurement combined with its own integral barcode reader. As well as recording the temperature, time and date of each measurement, the unit can scan user-set barcodes to identify every product or test point.
Up to 1,000 separate measurements can be stored on the instrument at any time before downloading to a computer. This can be achieved through free open-source software.
The unit’s screen displays instant feedback on each temperature measurement, while scrolling buttons allow previous measurements to be examined.
There is a choice of programming alarm limits for individual targets/locations, global alarms for all temperature test points and legionella-safe alarm limits. Users can choose their own remedial action recommendations, which display when an alarm limit is exceeded.
The MM7100 is compatible with all standard thermocouple temperature sensors and probes, and Bluetooth or USB interfaces are available. Its list price is £425.
