Inspire Commercial Kitchen Solutions has undertaken an installation for The Keys Kitchen & Cookery School in Darlington.
Chris Stoker of Inspire worked with The Keys’ executive chef Paul Rowntree to design its new kitchen based around a Rosinox range and a Big Green Egg.
“Having a blank canvas to work with has really allowed us to create the perfect kitchen environment to offer great locally sourced food to the people of Darlington and the North East,” says Stoker.
“With this in mind we decided to look at new trends throughout the country and explore different concepts, stemming from our research we are happy to announce that The Keys has brought the Big Green Egg ‘up north’. This charcoal powered grill/BBQ and oven concept allows the chefs to be creative with local produce and concentrate on real good honest food with bags of flavour.
The installation included as well as a complete Rosinox cooking suite with ‘Induct Flam’ and the Big Green Egg, Foster refrigeration and a Rational combination oven. All stainless steel units incorporated plinths, doors and worktops were welded onsite by Fabs 4.
RS Vents provided the extract system while Trent Panels designed a gas interlock system to monitor the CO and CO2 levels in the kitchen 24 hours a day as the Big Green Egg is a solid fuel appliance.
“This project is Inspire’s largest to date and we have really enjoyed working with the Keys on the project,” says Stoker.
Inspire also supplied and installed two large Scotsman ice machines and six Maidaid Evolution glasswashers with built in water softeners to the bar areas.
