Industry mourns the passing of Richard McCallum


Newport-based distributor, Shine Food Machinery, is mourning the loss of its project manager Richard ‘Dicky Mac’ McCallum.

He sadly passed away on 18 November following an 18-month battle with cancer. Today is particularly poignant, as it would have been Richard’s 57th birthday.

Shine stated: “Richard will be greatly missed as a valued colleague and friend, and those who worked with him will hold fond memories of their time together.

“He was an excellent project manager who loved his job and worked tirelessly to deliver outstanding service on behalf of the company.

“We had the pleasure of Richard’s contribution for over 7 years, during which time he was always hardworking, positive and full of enthusiasm, even under pressure. He had an effortless friendly and professional approach which endeared all those who worked with him to him.

“He was highly respected by his clients and colleagues, and a huge part of our team will be greatly missed.”
