The results of Catering Insight’s Job Satisfaction Survey into how the catering equipment industry thinks Brexit will impact salaries.

Catering Insight’s 2017 Job Satisfaction Survey threw up some interesting results as to what the catering equipment industry believes will happen following Brexit.

The nearly 100 manufacturer and distributor staff who anonymously participated in our industry research were asked about the impact they thought Brexit would have on their salary prospects in 2017.

It seems that they are very unsure, with almost half (49.33%) having no feeling either way. A significant 41.33% thought it would have a negative impact, with just the remaining 9.33% believing it to be positive.

Furthermore, when asked whether they felt their jobs are more secure or less secure since the UK voted to exit the European Union, 57.14% said they had no feeling either way, while 34.29% said it would be less secure.

Only 8.57% believed the vote made their jobs more secure.

Therefore, it looks like most of the industry would still class themselves in the Remain camp.
