Imperial Catering Equipment has added another line to its popular Montague range in the form a charcoal broiler.

The broiler is designed to provide chefs with an answer to the rigours of high intensity cooking and is available in four specifications to ensure the differing needs of kitchens are fully met.

Andy Piggin, sales director at Imperial Catering Equipment, insists the unit will be a “profitable addition” to any kitchen serving charcoal broiled food.

“Improved heat retention due to a front and rear cast iron frame and longer equipment life make the broiler very appealing,” he said. “Imperial’s award-winning Montague range has been developed with 150 years of specialised manufacturing experience behind it, so it is commercial cooking equipment of the highest quality.”

Additional fuel for the broiler’s intense heat is actually obtained from the drippings to totally eliminate recovery problems, while a warming shelf provides a “generous area” for storing and heating plates and platters.

“The Charcoal Broiler models are available with, or without an adjustable hood,” added Piggin. “The hood is an added convenience to busy chefs, so that it remains in whatever position it is placed without requiring the use of levers or locks.”

Imperial’s Montague range includes heavy duty ranges and counter equipment, custom island suites and high volume convection ovens.
