Iglu Cold Systems has begun the New Year by restructuring its management team and bringing a new sales manager on board.
Commercial director Simon Clements has been promoted to managing director, replacing company founder Ian Bell, who has taken early retirement from the UK business.
Bell will continue to work in an advisory capacity and take a part-time international ambassadorial role within the company, Iglu said.
“Ian’s vision to start a new company in the UK selling high specification refrigerated cabinets and custom wine and fine food display solutions has resulted in the Iglu name being synonymous with some of the most prestigious hotels, bars and restaurants in the UK,” said Clements.
Meanwhile, Danny McLaughlin has joined the Sheffield-based outfit as national sales manager.
McLaughlin has worked in the catering equipment industry for over 12 years and will be responsible for developing the standard refrigeration side of the business.
His role will involve working with Iglu’s dealer network and identifying additional partners to promote its products.
