Wexiödisk has announced distributor Ian Dance Services (IDS) as its 2020 dealer of the year.

Chosen on a wide range of criteria, from physical sales numbers through to year-on-year uplift and end user satisfaction, the accolade is keenly fought over by Wexiödisk’s network of nominated dealers.

Founded back in 1988 by Ian Dance, IDS is now managed by Ian’s sons, Bruce and Glynn Dance, and Bruce’s son Jamie.

Bruce was pleased to be recognised by the Swedish warewasher manufacturer: “We are genuinely delighted and really pleased to be presented with this award. It has certainly not been an easy year, but thanks to our loyal public and private sector customer base, we find ourselves in a strong position to face the challenges that 2021 will bring.

“Our relationship with Wexiödisk is quite a new one and only really started back when supply issues with our previous supplier led us to look at new warewashing manufacturers. Since then, we have been continuously impressed, not only by the equipment itself, which I would actually say is some of the best built in the industry, but also the support network around it.

“From the logistics of Keith Elkington Transport, the installation skills of Crystaltech and the knowledge of Wexiödisk UK’s country manager, David Glover, we know that we can specify Wexiödisk products with complete confidence. Our customers are always amazed at the high quality and aesthetics of the equipment, versus the price paid.”

David Glover, Wexiödisk’s country manager for UK and Ireland praised: “IDS has been a fantastic partner to work with in 2020, hence why I am delighted to have been able to present them with our Dealer of the Year award.

“Initially focusing on our undercounter and hood products, IDS now specify our full range of warewashing equipment including our pre-rinse machine (PRM) and rack models for some of their larger public sector sites.”

He continued: “As we look to 2021, we are confident that IDS will continue to secure high-profile sites, and we look forward to developing our relationship with IDS further.”

As part of the award, Bruce and the team were presented with a limited-edition backlit glass painting, created by Swedish artist, Ulrica Hydman Vallien, highlighting its Dealer of the Year achievement.
