Ian Parsons is joining Synergy Grill Technology as sales and marketing director.

Synergy Grill Technology has appointed Ian Parsons as its new sales and marketing director.

Parsons joins Synergy with over 25 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, including 15 years at Bunzl Lockhart, and most recently from running his own consultancy, Alset Partners, for the past 3 years.

Justin Cadbury, chairman of Synergy Grill Technology, commented: “Being able to attract candidates of calibre shows just how far Synergy, as a business, has come in the last few years.

“Ian brings a wealth of industry knowledge to the company, a lot of which is in our most important areas including dealers, key operating groups and chefs. We believe that Ian is perfectly placed to communicate the significant benefits that a Synergy Grill can offer differing food outlets, delivering a better cooking experience for both chef and diner, 59% energy savings, patented vaporising technology, cleaner kitchens and, most importantly at this time, rapid financial payback from the initial investment.

“We welcome Ian to Team Synergy and look forward to him being part of our continued expansion.”

Parsons added: “I have been aware of Synergy Grill as a company and the team at Synergy for the past 10 years. What has been apparent during this time is the technology excellence that everyone holds for the equipment, and rightly so. Despite the many unique operator benefits of installing a Synergy Grill, it is only when you talk to chefs about the cooking experience, that you really begin to understand the immediate difference that a Synergy Grill makes in the commercial kitchen.

Parsons will replace Richard Ebbs, who is leaving his position as Synergy’s commercial and marketing director after 2.5 years to head back to his former employer, Nisbets.

Ebbs posted on LinkedIn today: “I will always be immensely proud of the work, sweat and effort, the whole team put into growing Synergy Grill to what it is today. The Footprint award for energy efficiency coupled with the launch of the incredible eGrill this week, has really encapsulated all that is great about this wonderful British manufacturer. I have made great friends there who will be life-long friends. The good news for me is that I will be continuing to help with the company with what will undoubtedly be huge future success.

“I wish Ian Parsons all the best as he joins and his experience will undoubtedly be a great benefit as the company moves forward.

“On the 29th I will start my new role, for another fantastic British company, Nisbets. Many of you will know, Nisbets helped shape my way into this wonderful industry. I look forward to meeting my new (and old!) colleagues and helping to be small part of the continued growth of one of the industry’s amazing success stories.”
