HuCo Services has signed an agreement with Australian company Flexsil Lid to supply the manufacturer’s silicone gastronorm pan lids to the UK and Irish markets.
Flexsil Lids were awarded as the best new product in 2011 at the Gulfood exhibition in Dubai, and the manufacturer claims that the product is in demand globally due to its environmental friendliness.
Albert David, founder, inventor and owner of the Flexsil Lid portfolio of products, stated: “We are proudly supporting the UK and Irish markets through a new strategic partnership with HuCo Services, a manufacturers’ agency responsible for promoting the brand across Europe and the Middle East.”
The Flexsil Lid portfolio of products is said to reduce the need for single use ‘film and foil’ whilst delivering storage, life extension and safety in the kitchen.
Flexsil Lids are designed in Australia and have already a wide customer base in Australia and Asia with a growing distributor network in Europe. David added: “As a manufacturing business we have a strong brand and reputation.
“The European markets are of great importance and we have carefully selected HuCo Services and Greg Fitchett, an organisation that has the highest of reputations and an in-depth knowledge of the total supply chain for the HORECA industry, to support our overall strategy.”
HuCo Services founder, Greg Fitchett commented: “After heading up a significant business in the HORECA market for the last 18 years, on leaving that group earlier this year, I undertook an in-depth analysis and research of the market and pinpointed a number of exciting opportunities.
“In respect of the portfolio of Flexsil Lid, a brand and product I have previously sold in the European market, they excited me as a manufacturer that is totally committed to bringing to market the most positive environmental and cost-effective way a range of products that truly adds value to our industry, reduces food waste and improves safety and storage in our kitchens.
“Over the coming months I will continue to work with our established UK distributors to develop a distributor network to ensure all the products are available to the exciting market which has been part of my life for over 30 years.”
