Following its appointment by the Ali Group as UK supplier of the Comenda warewasher range, Hubbard Systems is expanding its sales and customer support team.
The latest recruit is Robert Baughan, whose role is business development manager for East Anglia and North London. He will look after both the Comenda and the Scotsman brands.
Baughan is a sales professional who has spent most of his career in the media. “The focus there is to drill down to find out exactly what the customer wants, then to provide a solution to match,” he said.
Simon Aspin, commercial director of Hubbard Systems, Baughan’s different experience perspective. “He has an excellent track record of sales in a difficult and competitive environment,” he said. “His expertise will be especially valuable as we build up sales of the Comenda brand.”
Baughan says it was friends in the hospitality industry who suggested he apply for the Hubbard Systems job. “Their very positive feedback on Hubbard, both for customer support and the quality of the Scotsman product, made my mind up – this is a company I want to work for.
“Taking on the Comenda range and bringing it under the Hubbard Systems ethos of service and customer care increases the variety of my role. My aim is to make a real difference to Hubbard and to our dealer network.”
Baughan is 29 years old. He and his wife are expecting their second child. Outside of work he says his interests are mostly focused on “looking after a 3-year old!”
