Hubbard publishes equipment guide

Hubbard Systems has published a brochure to help venues get the right ice machine and ice type for their requirements whether its is supercube, flake, superflake, dice, scale, cubelet or nugget.

The “What’s your ice type?” brochure explores the different varieties and shapes of ice and type with the appropriate Scotsman machine.

For example, drinks such as gin and tonic and Scotch on the rocks, need good-looking, crystal clear ice (supercube) with a slow melt rate so that the drink isn’t diluted.

However, hard supercube ice is murder on blenders, so for blended cocktails or food displays a different type of ice is required.

The guide also deals with choosing the right machine, siting and what services it will need – from plumbing to water and waste, to regular maintenance, servicing and cleaning, and even choosing the right capacity ice storage bin for modular machines.

The brochure is available on request from Hubbard Systems and is available to download from the Hubbard website.
