Hubbard Ice Systems has expanded its team with the appointment of Adam Byron as regional sales manager for the Midlands and Northern England.
The company, which distributes the Scotsman range of ice machines in the UK, is looking to build on its strengths following a change of ownership in the business last year.
“The expansion of the sales team is part of a major investment programme designed to realise the full potential of our market position,” said Simon Aspin, Hubbard’s commercial director.
“Adam’s knowledge, expertise and experience of a variety of different industries make him a hugely useful resource for a sales team. He also brings a very logical approach, something that, in my experience, is a real benefit in sales.”
Byron, who is based in Lichfield, Staffordshire, joins the company from PHS Group, where he spent five years as regional sales manager for the company’s Waterlogic water coolers division. He was also responsible for national accounts.
He commented: “With the takeover and the new management team there’s a real buzz about the company. As a sales person, that’s exactly what you want.”
Hubbard is now owned by former Scotsman directors Dave McCulloch and Dave Wrench after the North American catering equipment veterans acquired its parent, HTG Trading, in the latter part of last year.
