Hotelympia drew 33,000 visitors last week, organisers of the show revealed today.

Fresh Montgomery, which runs the ExCeL-based event, said foot traffic was up 4% on the previous event two years before. It visitor attendance is independently verified by the Audit Bureau of Circulation (ABC).

Toby Wand, group exhibition director at Fresh Montgomery, said the company had achieved its goal of putting on a show befitting the innovation being shown in the foodservice and hospitality industry.

“I am particularly heartened that we have been able to grow our visitor numbers, which I think is testament to both the quality of our offering, and the level of engagement from both our exhibitors and visitors in the multitude of new initiatives we launched for 2012,” he said.
