MKN has teamed up with kitchen house HCE for a project involving what is set to become the highest located hotel in Western Europe.
The manufacturer will supply a number of its cooking products to the Shangri-La hotel due to open next year in the spire of The Shard, some 1,016 feet above London.
Equipment that will be sited in the Shangri-La London kitchens includes the “ultra-efficient” Hans Dampf 20.2 combi and a range of products from the Optima 850 and 700 ranges.
MKN says it got the nod for the job due to the cutting edge technology used in its equipment and the efficiency of its products.
Stuart Long, UK sales and marketing director for MKN, said: “Being able to supply MKN products to the Shangri-La is an exciting opportunity for our company. We have supplied professional catering equipment to hotels across the world, and we are confident that our equipment will offer the best working environment for the catering team, and will assist in producing an amazing dining experience for guests at the Shangri-La, London.”
HCE offers a complete range of design, equipment supply and planned preventative maintenance services.
