Popular hospitality exhibition Host has given visitors a flavour of what to expect ahead of its return in October this year.
Organisers of the Milan-based event say that more than 1,600 exhibitors from 50 countries are booked into this year’s show, which kicks off on October 18.
So far, the list of exhibitors includes 250 companies that will be present at the five-day show for the first time.
The number is an improvement on last time around when Host had 191 exhibutors showing their products for the first time.
Approximately 40% of this year’s exhibitors are companies from outside of Italy, which the organisers insist strengthens its reputation as an international show.
Host claims the 2013 edition of the event, which takes place every two years, will consolidate its “global leadership as an observer of trends”, with a raft of best-practice seminars and programmes planned, as well as the release of new industry data.
Michele Perini, president of Fiera Milano, which hosts the exhibition, says that in order to take advantage of “supply chain proximities”, the lay-out of the show is being organised into 12 pavilions.
These will then be broken down into three macro-areas: foodservice equipment; bar and coffee machines; and furniture and tableware.
“Host 2013’s capacity to innovate across the board is expressed in particular through its attentive approach to new formats,” he said.
