Major trade show Host is getting ever larger, as the latest stand booking total reaches 1,251, with 44.7% of these hailing from 45 different countries.
The event, which will take place in Milan on 18-22 October 2019, is welcoming exhibitors from Germany, Spain, France, USA, UK, the Netherlands and Portugal as the top seven countries by stand, with UK and Spain recording the strongest growth rates. Newly exhibiting countries include Albania, Latvia and Columbia.
The 41st edition of the show will feature over 1,500 hosted buyers from 80 different countries in attendance, with an 80% turnover and a focus on the USA, Canada, the Middle East, the UAE, China and Russia.
The event also relies on institutional agreements with international associations such as the FCSI, Restaurants Canada, CEDA (UK) and AFEHC (Spain), in addition to a number of Italian associations.
The Catering – Bread-Pizza-Pasta macro-area accounts for 48% of the companies present, representing substantial growth in the Bread-Pizza-Pasta segment.
The Bar-Coffee Machines-Vending Machines – Coffee-Tea – Ice Cream-Pastry macro-area comprises 34% of companies in attendance.
The Furnishings-Tableware-Technology macro-area accounts for the remaining 18% and has seen one of the most significant growth rates of all.
Furthermore, HostMilano 2019 will run at least 500 events, including workshops, data and research presentations, tastings, training opportunities and competitions.
In collaboration with POLI.design, the Polytechnic University of Milan spin-off, the Smart Label Award is back; this year, the accolade that recognises the innovative products and services, will be joined by complementary Design Talks workshops.
Sponsored by the ADI (Italian Association for Industrial Design), SMART Label highlights the sector’s ability to think outside of the box: 497 entries over the past three editions, 156 companies awarded the SMART Label, and more than 20 special recognitions (the Innovation SMART Label), presented to particularly innovative products.
