Hoshizaki has become the first sponsor of this year’s Catering Insight Awards, following the announcement of the event returning in person.

The ceremony, taking place at London’s 8 Northumberland Avenue on Thursday 18 November, will see the refrigeration specialist presenting the Digital Initiative of the Year trophy to one innovative dealer.

The category will honour a distributor, either traditional or online, who has really embraced the digital medium, whether it is for sales, service, technology, showcasing their capabilities or an innovative social media campaign. This can encompass everything from remote consultations, BIM, virtual reality technology, website design and function or utilising social media tools at their disposal.

This is the fourth time that Hoshizaki UK has backed this accolade at the Catering Insight Awards, and the fifth time overall, as the firm also sponsored the same category at last year’s digital event, the Kitchen & Equipment Awards.

Hoshizaki UK’s national sales manager Roz Scourfield revealed: “Dealers are intrinsically linked to our business and represent our route to market at Hoshizaki UK. As such, we feel that the Catering Insight Awards are the perfect platform to demonstrate our commitment to our partners, while celebrating success and recognising the outstanding achievement from within this sector.

“We are delighted to be sponsoring the Digital Initiative Award again, identifying those who have made significant steps to growing their presence online, embracing technology and the latest digital platforms in the process.”

Of the Catering Insight Awards’ return, she added: “After the unprecedented challenges we have all faced over the past 18 months it will be fantastic to once again get together in person, rather than via Zoom for an evening of celebration with great food and great company at an incredible location. It is a chance for us to recognise and reward the amazing work of the dealers and distributors that have helped to keep our industry going during this most challenging of times.

“The Catering Insight Awards is an event that we all look forward to with much anticipation and eagerness and its return is a welcome fillip to the whole industry as we reflect on the struggles of the pandemic and look ahead to the future as the foodservice and hospitality industries rebuild and look to go from strength to strength.

“What sets the Catering Insight Awards out from other high-profile events is those being celebrated. The dealer and distributor channel is an essential sales and support network for our industry, but one that often goes unnoticed when it comes to recognising the hard work and continued achievement of those operating within it.”
