Victoria Hopkins will be detailing export strategy advice to Yorkshire businesspeople.

Hopkins Catering Equipment MD Victoria Hopkins is to speak at a local event, advising other businesses executives how to make a success of exporting their goods.

During the ExportExchange Live breakfast event on 19 March, Hopkins will be among the panellists detailing their overseas trade knowledge and offering advice, tips and cautionary tales based on their personal export experiences.

The panel session will be held at the Taylors of Harrogate office, with the event including evaluations of whether fledgling exporters should employ agents or distributors, or sell directly to the overseas market.

Garry Nield, Taylors of Harrogate’s international director said: “Inevitably, there will be significant challenges along the way on any business’s export journey and deciding on the best route to market can be a complicated process. Decisions need to be made on whether you should attempt to sell directly to clients overseas, or use an agent or distributor, and while you can read around that subject extensively, there’s no substitute for being able to talk with people who have been through that process.

“All of us ExportExchange panel members have built up many years’ exporting experience and if we can use that to help other local businesses to grow through successfully selling overseas, then that is tremendously satisfying.”

Pudsey-based distributor Hopkins Catering Equipment is well known for its expertise in the fish and chip market, and the cooking products it fabricates have found favour in regions such as America and Australia.
