Leeds-based Hopkins Catering Equipment has appointed Jade Almond as project sales manager in its commercial kitchens development and planning department.
The distributor feels that Almond’s product knowledge, experience in catering equipment and connections in the business world are sure to be an asset to Hopkins.
Its commercial kitchens department offers full packages from design to installation with dedicated project management by its team.
Almond’s role will be to travel the length and breadth of the country meeting with customers to discuss their needs and ensure they get the kitchen that is right for them, from cafés and restaurants to school and hospitals.
She commented: “I am really excited to join the team and raising awareness of the breadth of skills here at Hopkins. I will be working to raise the profile of the commercial kitchens and projects area.”
On what first drew her to the catering equipment industry, she added: “A friend owned a catering equipment company and he asked me to join his team. He wanted someone with a structured sales background to help grow and develop the company.”
Hailing from Rosendale, Almond enjoys hill running, as well as yoga and pilates.
