Hobart’s updated AMX and AUP hood-type warewashers feature touchscreen control.

Hobart is set to unveil a new generation of its hood-type machines with intuitive touchscreen functionality and, for the first time, providing a fully connected wash experience via the WashSmart app.

The new AMX and AUP models are available through the company’s UK-wide network of dealer partners, on a range of long-and short-term interest-free finance deals.

Patented Visiotronic-Touch control is designed to simplify the washing process, with a display that visualises all important information using both text and symbols. As a result, programmes should be able to be easily selected, and settings adjusted, with the swipe of a finger.

Connectivity through Hobart’s WashSmart app should make it simple to monitor levels of detergent and water in real time and determine overall operating costs, to download an instant hygiene report, request a quote and order necessary consumables and to receive error reports for any machine breakdowns.

Tim Bender, sales director, Hobart Warewashing UK said: “Following on from the introduction of our new generation of smart undercounters, Hobart’s hood types are the next to undergo a modern refresh.

“These are the same workhorses packed with innovative features such as Automatic Soil Removal (Premax AUP), which negates the requirement for pre-washing heavily soiled items, and the revolutionary Permanent-Clean filter system – which saves some £600 per year in water, energy and detergent costs.

“We’ve just taken what is already a class leading product and made it even better. A classic reimagined for the requirements of modern kitchens.”
