Hobart’s cooking arm powers budding chefs


Hobart’s Cooking Solutions division is backing the next generation of chefs by supporting one of the largest live culinary competitions in the UK.

The company, which supplies cooking suites, combi ovens, fryers and grills, has confirmed it will sponsor the Regional Dish category at Wessex Salon Culinaire, which takes place at the beginning of April.

The competition will see budding chefs and student chefs display their expertise in a live competition run by the Craft Guild of Chefs.

Ian Garner, managing director of Hobart Cooking Solutions, said: “We are delighted to be able to support this major culinary event following a very successful involvement last year. Wessex Salon Culinaire provides a stage for emerging chefs to display their talents and put their skills to the test in a competitive situation cooking against the clock.”

The event will take place at Brockenhurst College, Hampshire, with competitors given 30 minutes to produce two portions of a regional main course suitable for a gastro pub lunch service.
