Hobart lands 70-unit Sheffield NHS order

Hobart today announced that it has landed an order to supply almost 70 of its FXSTD undercounter dishwashers to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The manufacturer said that the FXSTD was chosen after being put through its paces against warewashers from two other manufacturers and described it as a “significant” tender win.

Hobart said the machines scored highly on a number of evaluative criteria set by the Trust.

“The success of this tender is not only testament to having the best machines for the job, it also helps to reinforce the importance of forging beneficial long term-relationships in the public sector,” stated Roger Kellow, government business manager of Hobart UK Warewash.

“Hobart has been building its reputation in this area for over a century – in fact, our first ever government sector tender was a hospital. This exciting new venture with Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust represents yet another big win and we greatly look forward to a long and prosperous partnership.”

The FXSTD employs unique pressure-less steam technology to ensure thorough cleaning and disinfection of every item of ware.

Hobart says the dishwasher achieves a minimum of 80°C on the contact surface for two minutes, thus helping to eliminate the risk of potentially hazardous materials that may remain.
