Hobart is giving away £21,000 worth of stock as part of an end-user campaign to find the UK’s ‘kitchen heroes’.
The company yesterday launched its ‘Unsung Hero’ initiative, which is designed to celebrate the key role played by warewashers in supporting successful catering operations.
It is running a competition to uncover and reward unsung individuals in the kitchen, with cash prices and three warewashers on offer throughout the year.
An AUP pass-through dishwasher will be the first prize Hobart gives away, followed by the Premax FX and GX models. The overall winner of the competition will receive £500 in retail vouchers.
Tim Bender, UK sales director of warewashing at Hobart UK, said that as well as finding the country’s true kitchen heroes, the campaign would underscore the importance of warewashing equipment to catering operations.
“Top quality warewashers are the beating heart of any catering operation, the foundation upon which great brigades can thrive,” he said. “Just as the warewasher is an unsung hero, we want to find and reward the back of house professionals that make a real difference to catering business in kitchens up and down the country but whose contribution is often overlooked.”
Hobart said it is accepting nominations through its website, with the deadline for the first stage set for May 1.
