Hobart continues southern support for Kitchen & Equipment Awards

Major catering equipment manufacturer, Hobart, has joined the illustrious list of sponsors for Catering Insight and Foodservice Equipment Journal’s Kitchen & Equipment Awards Week digital event.

Hobart will be backing the Distributor of the Year – South of the UK category, following its support for the same accolade in four previous editions of the Catering Insight Awards. The category celebrates the achievements of dealers in the southern half of England and across Wales.

All of the digital event’s winners will be announced during the week commencing 30 November, in YouTube presentations premiering on both publications’ YouTube channels.

Tim Bender, sales director, Hobart Equipment Division, commented: “This will be the fifth time we have sponsored the category and it may be the most poignant yet. We couldn’t be prouder to put our name to the awards and although this time around we may be toasting our deserved winners digitally, we can still join together in championing both winners and nominees – those in the South of the UK who are rightly held up as shining examples of resilience and overall excellence.

“We look forward to Kitchen and Equipment Awards week with great excitement.”He continued his praise of the initiative, saying: “Now more than ever, our industry needs recognition and the new awards scheme presents us with the perfect opportunity to celebrate those who are going above and beyond in unprecedented and challenging times.”

Regarding honouring the efforts of the UK catering equipment supply chain in such challenging times, he added: “Again, it’s all about ensuring good news stories and examples of best practice are shared as far and wide as possible. Distributors are integral to the manufacturing operation, and nothing is more important now than partnership and togetherness.”

Those who want to enter a nomination only have a few days left, with the deadline the end of play this Friday, 9 October.

Companies and individuals can nominate their own businesses or other parties for an award – nominators will always remain anonymous though.

Third party entries have already been particularly high, indicating how keen the industry is for some of the great (and often unseen) work that has gone on throughout the pandemic to be recognised.
