Hobart bolsters flight-type portfolio

Hobart UK is using Hotelympia to launch what it claims is a “game-changing” flight-type dishwasher featuring a patented tray conveyor technology.

The FTPi’s twinLINE feature makes it possible to wash trays on a separate conveyor while the other items are being washed in the machine, making for greater operational efficiency.

Trays are then automatically stacked in the exit section of the machine for ease of use. Hobart says the system increases capacity without expanding the footprint and makes washing up to 30% faster.

Its patented ‘50PERCENT’ fresh-water rinse reduces water consumption by up to 65% on previous models, while a ‘PERMANENT CLEAN’ automatic soil removal system saves up to 20% detergent.

Tim Bender, UK sales director – warewashing at Hobart UK, said the FTPi represented the “pinnacle” of global dishwashing design.

“It harnesses world-first technologies that will make for enhanced performance and serious cost savings. In short, it’s a real game changer,” he declared.

Bender said the FTPi was the result of “years of R&D” in conjunction with hospitality operators.
