Hobart bags Emirates order worth £4.5m

Hobart has announced its involvement in the massive build project taking place at Emirates’ new catering complex at Dubai International Airport.

The warewashing manufacturer confirmed that it has signed an agreement worth more than £4.5m to supply 30 warewashing systems to the hub.

Hobart UK said its German parent was supporting the new operation being developed by Emirates Flight Catering (EKFC), with its Premax LowTemp technology expected to lower the organisation’s warewashing running costs.

Tim Bender, UK sales director for warewashing at Hobart UK, said: “This new agreement cements Hobart’s position as a true global player and we’re tremendously proud to be working in partnership with EKFC at the brand new complex. The deal is made all the more satisfactory because it highlights the fact that caterers increasingly value the contribution that our Premax generation of equipment can make to their business, both in terms of performance and savings.”

For the new catering building, Hobart will be installing its warewashing technology, conveyors, ventilation systems and the IT system for the entire warewashing unit.

Hobart has been supplying kit to EKFC for nine years. After the complex is completed in early 2015, it says that more than 80 Hobart warewashing systems will be used by companies operating at Dubai International Airport.
