Greek restaurant chain plans more kitchens

Authentic Eastern Mediterranean restaurant chain, The Real Greek, has unveiled plans for UK-wide expansion after opening its first location outside of London.

The company has six restaurants in the capital, but at the end of May it will open a 2,500 square foot site in Windsor capable of serving 130 covers.

Christos Karatzenis, owner and head of operations at The Real Greek, said: “The location benefits from high footfall from both residents and tourist alike, both seeking a fantastic dining experience as well as quality food which The Real Greek can deliver.”

Karatzenis said that Greek and Eastern Mediterranean food was becoming increasingly popular as it caters for people’s desire to eat healthily. “We intend to meet this growing demand by opening two sites each year,” he revealed.

The Real Greek menu is based on traditional Greek meze and is full of freshly-prepared Mediterranean dishes. Many of the ingredients it uses are imported from Greece to ensure the authenticity of the dishes.
