Granuldisk clocks up manufacturing milestone

Granuldisk has revealed that the 10,000th pot and pan washing machine came off its production line last month.

The company marked the landmark moment by fitting the appliance — a Granule Maxi — with golden door handle and control panel.

The pot and pan washer is now on its way to a customer in France after it was sold by local dealer Synergie Maintenance. Synergie was invited to an unveiling of the machine hosted by Granuldisk’s CEO Peter Schon in Malmo.

Schon said he expected to sell the next 10,000 units in a lot quicker time than it has taken the company to get to this point. "I am convinced that we will not have to wait another 25 years until we celebrate 10 000 additional machines," he said.

Granuldisk’s pot washing machines use tiny, blue plastic pellets or ’granules’ and water to mechanically scrub pots and pans clean.

The blasting power combined with high temperatures washes hygienically clean in a matter of minutes and eliminates the need for pre-washing.
