Catering equipment suppliers wishing to target the Middle East market can qualify for a grant of £2,500 to attend at the next Gulfood exhibition.
Information is available through CESA, which has been appointed by UK Trade & Investment as the Catering Equipment Group Organiser at the event, which takes place in February 2014 and is regarded as the main catering show for that part of the world.
The Great Britain Pavilion at Gulfood, which CESA is responsible for, will be expanded next year to offer more companies the opportunity to exhibit.
This will be the tenth time that CESA has been responsible for the presence of UK equipment companies at the show. As the Pavilion is normally over-subscribed, CESA director Keith Warren said it was great news that additional space had been secured.
“Many UK companies are now established in Dubai directly as a result of having previously exhibited using UKTI and CESA support,” he said. “Several previous exhibitors on the UK Pavilion now exhibit with distributors, demonstrating the strength of work that has been achieved over the years and the resulting export successes.”
UK-based equipment suppliers can book their stand through CESA and find out about the grant.
As well as taking on responsibility for pre-show administration, including building the stand, CESA is arranging networking events with local trade contacts during the Show. Extra support is available for first time exhibitors, including advice on the UAE market.
Exhibitors do not have to be CESA members to participate in the scheme, but Warren warned that companies stood a greater chance of receiving financial support by registering their interest early.
“The grant funding is capped, so companies wanting to take advantage of it should apply as soon as possible,” he said.
The Middle East catering market is estimated to be worth $9 billion (£6 billion).
