Grande Cuisine has introduced the height adjustable, high speed Capic salamander to its portfolio.
The unit uses High Light technology, said to produce quick results, reaching 200°C in 20 seconds.
The secret to its success is said to be its electric High Light radiant elements, situated inside a special ceramic reflective cover and protected by diffuser glass which aids the heat transfer.
The energy efficient, stainless steel unit has an overall working surface of 600mm x 400mm, and the hood can be adjusted to any height to suit the user. Touch sensitive controls are designed to make it simple to operate, while the diffuser glass should be easily wiped clean.
Available in electric or gas powered models, the Capic salamander is suitable for glazing, browning and crisping. Prices start at £3,660 + VAT.
