Gram gets green light from SRA

Glenn Roberts will now be Polar Refrigeration's global head of business.

Gram has announced that it has become an Approved Supplier of the Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA).

The brand joins a list of suppliers that have passed a rigorous assessment of the sustainability of their operations and products in order to gain the status.

Other well-known catering products suppliers with SRA approval currently include Adande, Classeq’s Eau de Vie, Steelite and Vivreau.

Glenn Roberts, managing director of Gram UK, said the company was delighted to receive confirmation of the approval and said it endorsed its commitment to championing sustainable practices across the foodservice industry.

“We are constantly driving innovation so that we may continue to lead the way in producing energy efficient refrigeration, and we look forward to continuing to work with the SRA in the future,” he commented.

Gram says its goal is to produce the most energy efficient pieces of refrigeration equipment on the market and it has more than 30 products listed on the Carbon Trust’s Energy Technology List.

The Sustainable Restaurant Association is a not-for-profit organisation set up to help restaurants become more sustainable. Through education, advice on efficient resource management and community engagement, they aim to help diners make more sustainable choices when dining out.
