Gozney grabs a quick slice of pizza oven action

Solid fuel oven manufacturer Gozney has unveiled its latest launch, the Black Edition and Stone Core ranges.

The units use the brand’s typical pressure-tested components as well as reportedly unique elements incorporated into their design.

The premium Black Edition consists of a patented, modular, fast-assembly system with an external enclosure in a contemporary design. Said to be easy to assemble with minimal building work, due to an “innovative” format on delivery, the unit removes the need for large open entrances to manoeuvre pieces into the point of assembly.

The Stone Core consists of a number of geometric segments of professional-grade, dense refractory that combine in a similar modular format. The outer rendering and appearance can be modified by customers for a bespoke finish.

Each range is available in four separate sizes to cater to operators’ requirements. The choice of the Black Edition or being able to customise in line with the venue’s décor can allow these ovens to become the showpiece in the room.

The oven ranges combine the option of wood- and gas-fire to suit convenience or traditional cooking methods. The wide, open mouths give clear visibility of the flames, reaching temperatures of 450/500°C. Pizzas are said to cook in under a minute and the residual heat is suitable for baking or slow-roasting overnight.
