G&M boss takes on political role


The MD of catering equipment company G&M Supplies, Mike Graham, has been appointed as a political advisor to the mayor of Copeland, a borough in Cumbria.

According to local newspaper, North West Evening Mail, Graham said he is “excited to play a part in the new order in Copeland”. He will help the new independent mayor, Mike Starkie.

Graham was a Conservative councillor on Copeland Borough Council for 10 years until 2003 – including 8 as opposition leader – and was his party’s parliamentary candidate for the constituency in 2001.

With his wife Maggie, he established Frizington-based G&M Supplies in 1987. The firm supplies brands such as Lincat Catering Equipment, Classeq Glass & Dishwashing, Blizzard Refrigeration, Inomak Refrigeration and Rollergrill.
