Glenn Roberts will head up Brita Professional’s sales operations from 1 January 2017 following the news that he is stepping down from his position at Hoshizaki Gram at the end of the year.

Roberts, a prominent figure in the foodservice refrigeration industry and vice chairman of CESA, will leave Gram after more than 14 years with the business.

During that time he has led the company to year-on-year growth, expanded its distributor network and strengthened its reputation as one of the most energy efficient refrigeration manufacturers around.

Last year, Roberts was made the UK MD of Hoshizaki Gram after the two brands, which are owned by the same group, announced they would be consolidating their sales and marketing departments.

“The merger of two experienced and expert sales teams representing award winning and market leading refrigeration and ice machine products will be integral in developing the future visibility and success of both brands,” said Roberts at the start of the year.

At Brita he will head up the commercial side of the business, which includes the sale and service of water treatment and water optimisation solutions. Brita water filters are used in a range of professional kitchen equipment, including coffee machines, combi ovens and dishwashers.

Gram is understood to have begun the search for a replacement and will announce a successor in due course.
