GEV closes in on US parts agreements

GEV Catering Spares says dealers can expect to see a raft of new additions to its catalogue in the coming months due to investment it is making in expanding its range of original US spare parts.

The American brands it is teaming up with haven’t yet been announced, but GEV said work was going on behind the scenes to make spares available to the market.

GEV currently provides a comprehensive range of parts from European brands, but is looking to provide solutions for customers that require components for equipment produced by US manufacturers.

GEV was recently appointed the official European parts distributor for Frenox, Amana and Menumaster, and UK boss, Bryn Vivian, hints that is just the start of things to come.

“It’s important for us to be able to supply parts for as many brands as possible, as conveniently as possible, and this means ensuring our customers get the part they need the first time around,” he said.

GEV also tries, wherever possible, to break parts down into individual components, which it says can significantly reduce the cost of repair for the end customer.

It boasts an extensive warehouse at its head office in Germany and more than one million parts available to order online.

“Our large stockpile is held and shipped from Germany using our trusted couriers,” added Vivian. “In most cases we’re able to beat the delivery times of the UK postal service. Local bank holidays don’t affect operation at the distribution centre, so this means we are able to dispatch reliably almost all year round without delay.”
