GastroNorth invests in new young blood

Gateshead-based distributor GastroNorth has welcomed two fresh-faced new apprentices to its team.

Alex Sprawling has joined as a project administration apprentice in a full time role, working closely with fellow apprentice Shona Grant, project administrator Jennifer Brown and office manager Tracy Toye on a day to day basis.

The other new addition is James Blanchard, who has been appointed as CAD design apprentice. Blanchard’s role is part time and he is part of a CAD design team also comprising Ross Pears and Simon Neil.

GastroNorth director, Richard Toye, commented: “The company is experiencing growth and we need the team to develop in-line with this growth.

“It’s great to have the guys onboard; they are bright, enthusiastic and eager to learn and development their skills.

“We believe in giving opportunities to apprentices in the local area. Further positions may be available this year.”
