Catering equipment supplier Gamble Foodservice Solutions has shaken up its management team after the departure of MD Mike O’Keeffe.
He spent 9 years at the firm, with the last 5 in the MD role, but left on 4 January to pursue a career in other areas of the hospitality industry.
Gamble feels that O’Keeffe gave dedicated and committed service to the company and it has benefited from his strategic and managerial approach.
Company chairman Richard Gamble said: “He has successfully steered the business through the very difficult times that we have all experienced during the last 9 months. I and the rest of the Gamble team wish Mike well for the future.”
O’Keeffe’s departure has prompted an in-depth review of the business structure and organisation by the board. Therefore, Charles Gamble joined the company as joint MD on the date of O’Keeffe’s departure, with sales director Nathan Jones stepping up to a joint MD role too.
Furthermore, Holly Francis returned to the team as sales director on 4 January. She was previously with the company for 10 years.
Richard Gamble commented: “During that time, she was highly successful and made a tremendous contribution to the sales effort. We were very reluctant to lose Holly in early 2017 when she chose to pursue a family business opportunity.
“She subsequently joined YCE Limited as head of sales and marketing, a position she held until recently.”
He concluded: “During 2021 we will be looking to add to, and strengthen, the sales team to combat what will be, without doubt, a difficult year for the whole industry.
“As one of the industry leaders, we will continue to provide a professional service, offering robust and quality solutions to the foodservice industry.”
Gamble Foodservice Solutions imports brands including FWE, Hatco, Imperial, MKN, Montague and Ovention to the UK.
