Foster and Gamko form "commercial alliance"


ITW subsidiaries Foster and Gamko are to share distribution networks and management expertise in the UK after forming what the group has termed a “strategic commercial alliance”.

In a statement confirming the change, ITW confirmed that from this month onwards Kings Lynn-based Foster and Manchester-based Gamko will begin working closely alongside one another.

It said the move would improve the operational efficiency of the two brands and create a “complete and complimentary” product offering for customers.

It would appear that ITW is keen for Gamko to benefit from the coverage and resources that Foster can lay claim to in the UK market.

Gamko’s full range of commercial bottle coolers and bar refrigeration will now be offered through Foster’s dealer network, while Foster’s own sales support team have been trained up to support the brand.

Paul Veried, ITW’s vice president refrigeration Europe, said the alliance would be “commercially advantageous” to both companies.

“Foster and Gamko are two companies with strong reputations for quality and service, and this move will be another significant step in ensuring that the breadth of the product offering and the excellence of our customer support is the best within the industry,” he said. “Importantly, the two companies have market leading and entirely complementary product ranges that will benefit distributors and customers alike.”

Gamko has been making professional refrigeration equipment for almost 60 years and has its research and production facilities based in the Netherlands. Its most popular product lines include Flexbar, Eco-Line and Maxiglass.
