Fords slices into prep equipment market


Fords Food Equipment is gearing up to release several new food prep appliances that it claims are completely new to the UK market.

The company will use next month’s Hotelympia show to unveil an automatic pizza dough divider and an automatic flywheel prosciutto slicer, as well as its portfolio of pasta machines, ravioli machines gravity slicers.

The prosciutto slicer is a reinvention of a classic, according to the company, which says it features an updated design with modern precision and quality.

Bedford-based Fords started its business six years ago with fresh pasta machines. It has since expanded into more equipment lines in a bid to provide customers with a greater range of products.
