Food service designer shines with vending solution

A designer with ties to the restaurant and contract catering industry has turned his hand to an altogether different part of the food market by conceiving a special housing unit for vending machines.

Tastemodern’s Adrian Morton has designed many restaurant, coffee shop and deli bar solutions over the years, but he is hoping the release of the VH950 will be his biggest hit yet given it is geared to helping operators cut the cost of housing vending machines on their premises.

Display specialist Tastemodern claims the VH950 saves at least 30% on costs compared to other standard aluminium extrusion based surrounds currently on the market and features panels which are certificated Grade 1 fire rated.

The unit is made from composite aluminium sandwich panels which are constructed using the latest adhesive technology to ensure long-term bonding.

In order to eliminate the need for install teams to set the unit up, the VH950 has been designed so that couriers can deliver to the chosen destination in order for a client’s own team to bolt it together.

“We are constantly testing and adapting new materials and fixings to see how they will stand up to use in busy locations,” said Morton. “At Tastemodern we strive to provide choice and we can certainly do this with the range of finishes we can offer for the VH950 housing surround. We will be adding to the range throughout the year as well as developing a model suitable for outdoor use.”

The entry point for the VH950 starts at £995, with delivery and VAT on top.
