First Choice’s smart storage partnership speeds up service

First Choice has improved its parts delivery and returns process thanks to its partnership with ByBox.

Spares specialist First Choice Group has used its partnership with storage and logistics firm ByBox to speed up its parts deliveries and returns.

ByBox gave First Choice the ability to access storage boxes at multiple sites, including its Cannock headquarters, to act as a collection facility. This has reportedly improved the spares supplier’s relationship with OEM manufacturer partnerships and enabled Covid-secure premises and delivery.

Understanding the requirement for First Choice Group to provide an updated, faster service for their customers, ByBox provided a delivery portal software to the transactional web and app so customers can view their order and proof of delivery in live, real time.

These measures helped First Choice Group hit demanding service level agreements (SLA) and increase the speed of its returns, using ByBox’s updated technology with nationwide use of app lockers for pre-8am deliveries and returns.

The spares return service was also boosted by an improved ability to order material up until 3pm and to reallocate parts at short notice.

First Choice Group head of marketing Julian Fisher emphasised: “Our customers are our priority and working with ByBox has helped us to provide a faster service, meet their evolving expectations and hit demanding SLAs.

“We recently had concerns over the safety of staff and customers due to Covid-19, thanks to ByBox we feel secure in the knowledge that our engineers can continue to pick up parts safely, while maintaining social distancing practices.”
