First Choice widens combi parts offering

First Choice Catering Spares has been named as the exclusive UK spares partner for Czech combi oven manufacturer Retigo.

The company will hold stocks of all commonly-required Retigo parts at its Cannock warehouse, where they will be available for next-day delivery on orders before 5pm.

First Choice will also be responsible for supplying genuine Retigo parts under warranty.

Retigo formally entered the UK market a couple of years back when former Hobart and Gratte Brothers man Adam Robertson was appointed to lead the charge.

He left the company earlier this year to become commercial director at Aggora Technical, but Retigo has continued to develop its distributor network under the watch of UK sales manager Tomas Vanek.

Having made progress on that front, the appointment of First Choice is part of a strategy to improve the after-sales support it offers customers.

First Choice will have access to the Retigo online spares drawings and technical documentation, and will be able to help customers identify the parts they require.

First Choice director, John Whitehouse, said: “The partnership with Retigo has been developing for some time and now with exclusivity we are able to make the commitment needed to grow the stocks and technical support to give a great customer service.”

Whitehouse added that its training arm Combico will also work with Retigo to train service engineers in the future.

Although still relatively new in the UK market, Retigo is a well-known brand in Europe and has over 30 years’ experience in manufacturing combi ovens. In addition, it manufactures regenerators, blast chillers and beverage machines.
