First Choice Group has launched a new version of its app, adding new features which are designed to provide its customers with quicker and cleaner access to parts and information.
As well as browsing and downloading thousands of equipment manuals from leading commercial catering and refrigeration manufacturers, users can now take advantage of intuitive tools to search for parts and stock availability and communicate directly with the company’s customer service team via a live chat function.
Robert Higginbotham, business systems developer for First Choice Group, said: “The original app was useful but with a single use, searching for part manuals.
“With the new APIs we have developed the new app is better in every way. Along with the manuals, users can now employ a variety of methods – including scanning barcodes – to search for and check the stock availability of spare parts.
“And if that wasn’t enough, users can now talk to First Choice Group customer service staff directly from within the app to get any additional information they require.”
The app’s new features include the ability to find parts and live stock levels by searching with keywords, browsing by manufacturer and model and scanning barcodes. Parts listings include images and full-colour photographs, and if a user needs a closer look at a part they can tap on the image and pinch to zoom-in.
Available from the App Store, Google Play and Amazon Kindle Fire, the First Choice Group app has already been accessed by thousands of users.
