First Choice’s new headquarters has enabled it to increase its stock by 30%.

First Choice Group has unveiled plans to raise its spare parts stock levels further.

The company’s recent move to new purpose built 100,000ft2 premises has set plans in motion for increasing its stock levels by 30%.

First Choice already believes it is the UK’s largest stock holder of commercial catering spares, housing more than 24,000 stock lines, valued at £3.7m. This is now set to increase to 31,000 lines, valued at £6.5m.

MD John Whitehouse said ambitions to grow the business in this way are geared towards maximising the support First Choice customers get so they receive an even better service.

“Our stock is continually increasing and we currently have the largest and widest range of catering spares stock in the UK,” he said.

“But now we are established in our new customer designed building we have a programme in place to increase this level of stock by 30%.

“This is all about giving the customer more. In line with our recent transformation, customers will receive a higher level of support in order to reduce waiting times and make it easier for them to get the parts they need. Customers will feel the benefit in their pockets too because not only will this save them time it will save them money.”

Working closely with some of the leading brands in commercial catering and refrigeration, First Choice will now be stocking more parts – which also means more OEMs.

“Around 70% of the orders we receive are delivered directly from the stock in our warehouse. But with this massive improvement in our stock capacity, we will take this figure to well over 90%,” added Whitehouse.

Stocking information is available on the First Choice Group website and through the company’s revamped customer service teams.
